Free up gigabytes.
Keep the good ones.
Distill finds duplicates, near-identical shots, old screenshots and huge videos, then lets you clear them with a swipe. Everything runs on your device, and you pay once.
Everything that clutters your library
Distill sorts your library into piles you can clear in seconds. You always see what goes before anything is deleted, and deleted photos stay in Recently Deleted for 30 days.
Duplicates
The same photo saved twice, even years apart. The best copy is kept automatically.
Similar shots
Ten takes of the same moment? Distill keeps the sharpest one where nobody blinked.
Screenshots, sorted
Receipts, tickets, chats and old screenshots in separate piles. Cards, passports and passwords are flagged so you can hide them.
Blurry and pocket shots
Dark, blurry photos and two-second clips you never meant to record.
Photos of paper
Parking signs, receipts and whiteboards you photographed to remember something, separated from your memories.
Shrink, don't delete
Compress big videos to HEVC and photos to HEIC, or turn Live Photos into stills. Same date, place and albums.
Swipe to decide
Left to delete, right to keep. Go through a month or a trip at a time.
Trip albums
Turn a trip into an album with the best shots preselected and the duplicates left out.
Smaller iCloud plan

Questions
Can I undo a deletion?
Yes. Deleted items go to Recently Deleted in the Photos app and stay there for 30 days.
How long does the first scan take?
A few minutes for most libraries. After that, Distill only looks at new photos, so later scans take seconds. On iOS 26 the scan keeps running if you switch apps.
Does it work with iCloud Photos?
Yes. Distill works with what is on your device and fetches small previews when needed. Deleting a photo removes it from iCloud too, as in the Photos app.
Is it really a one-time purchase?
Yes. $9.99 once, no subscription, no trial that renews. Prices vary slightly by country.
